888 Ambassador Trio Make High Roller Final Table

Trio of 888poker Ambassadors Make High Roller Final Table

On Tuesday, the $2,100 buy-in WPTDeepStacks Event #5: $100,000 High Roller attracted 40 players who rebought 10 times. Among those to compete in the 50-entry field but fall short of making the money were the following players –

  • Maksim “MAMOHT_T” Viktorovish
  • Ben “xLIVEPROx” Warrington
  • Martin “MJacobson888” Jacobson

Just the top seven finishers got paid, and amazingly three of them were members of the 888poker Ambassador Team.

Brazil’s Vivian “vivi.888.” Saliba was the first to fall in Level 23 (3,000/6,000/750). She moved all-in from the button for a little over 50,000 holding the A♣8♦. Her fellow Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche called from the small blind with the dominating A♠K♠.

Saliba got a sweat by flopping a straight draw and turning a flush draw. But the river was a brick to send her out in seventh place for $5,000.

Nitsche would follow her out the door in Level 24 (3,500/7,000/875). He raised the button to 56,000 and left himself less than 16,000 behind. The UK’s “casual_win” defended the big blind and then bet the 6♠9♣3♦ flop.

Nitsche called off with the A♦7♦ but had a kicker problem against the A♠J♥ of “casual_win”. The 9♥ turn gave the four-time bracelet winner some chop outs. But he missed when the Q♥ blanked on the river.

Nitsche earned $8,000 for finishing in fifth place.

Finally, there was Sweden’s Sofia “sofialovgren” Lövgren, who made it all the way to third place. That is when she got her short stack all-in preflop with the A♥Q♦ and was racing against the 2♣2♦ of “casual_win”.

Unfortunately for her, she failed to win the flop as the board ran out 3♣3♠10♦K♦4♥. Lövgren earned $15,500 for taking third.

“casual_win” took a very slight chip lead into heads-up play against “PerfectShade”. PerfectShade fought back, took the lead, and wound up getting lucky when it counted after jamming with the K♣5♣.

“casual_win” called off after waking up with the Q♣Q♦ but couldn’t hold after the board ran out 4♣A♣J♦10♣3♦ to give “PerfectShade” a winning flush.
