The World Series of Poker Europe kicks off this week at King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, with 15 events running from Sept. 18 to Oct. 9.

This year’s tournament series features 15 bracelet events with buy-ins ranging from €350 to €50,000. This marks the 15th year for the series, which has seen some big name main event winners through the years including Phil Hellmuth, Annette Obrestad, John Juanda, Barry Shulman, Elio Fox, Adrián Mateos, and more.

The series continues to grow and the €10,000 Main Event saw a record-high 817 entries in 2023 with 26-year-old Austrian Max Neugebauer coming out on top for €1.5 million.

“The bracelet itself means a lot,” he said after the win. “And then it's actually the WSOP Main Event, that means even a bit more. What means most to me, honestly, is my friends being here and cheering me on. It was really wonderful. I don't know what the experience would've been without them."

What to Expect This Year

Poker players from around the world are expected to head to the series and participation should be up even more this year after GGPoker purchased the WSOP earlier this year. The €10,000 Main Event once again highlights the action and runs Oct. 4-9. Here’s a look at a few other events to watch.

  • €1,350 Mini Main Event – Sept. 22-28, €1.5 million guaranteed
  • €550 Colossus – Sept. 25-30, €1.5 million guaranteed
  • €50,000 Diamond High Roller – Oct. 3-4, €1 million guaranteed

The action is expected to be streamed on the King’s Casino YouTube channel. Many players will be hoping to follow in Neugebauer’s footsteps and take home a gold bracelet along with some nice winnings.

High stakes regular Rob Yong was among those hoping for a nice trip to the Czech Republic.

“Heading to WSOP Europe at Poker Room Kings,” he posted this week on Twitter/X. “So many fun memories working with Kings on this event, moving WSOP-E from Cannes, London was a bold move and hard work broke all records.”
